My Role
- Website Redesign & Optimization Specialist
- Took full charge of redesigning and relaunching the company website from scratch. Baaraku connects startups and businesses with skilled global talent, especially developers, marketers, virtual assistants, and designers from Africa, Europe, and Latin America. They focus on affordable, high-quality outsourcing to help companies build and scale faster.
The Challenge
The old site felt outdated, loaded slowly, looked cluttered on mobile, and didn’t clearly show what Baaraku offered or make it easy for visitors to get in touch or hire talent. Leads from ads weren’t converting well because the site didn’t capture interest or track what was working.
What I Did
I led the complete website overhaul to make it modern, fast, and built for conversions.
- Redesigned the full site with clean layouts, strong hero sections, clear service pages (hire developers, marketers, VAs), and easy navigation.
- Made everything fully responsive so it works perfectly on phones, tablets, and desktops.
- Optimized for speed: compressed images, better code, fast loading times.
- Added clear calls-to-action like “Schedule a Call,” “Hire Now,” and contact forms on every key page.
- Set up conversion tracking from ad platforms (Facebook, Google Ads) straight into Google Analytics and the site – tracked form submissions, button clicks, page views, and hires.
- Integrated basic SEO improvements: better meta tags, headings, and structure for better search visibility.
The new site turned visitors into qualified leads much quicker.
Results
- Much faster load times and better mobile experience – bounce rate dropped noticeably.
- Clearer messaging led to more inquiries and calls booked.
- Ad spend became way more effective with real tracking on which campaigns drove actual leads and hires.
- The site now acts as a strong 24/7 sales tool supporting the whole marketing effort.
Still live and performing at baaraku.io.
